This item is a DVD of the 2005 Speculator Seaplane Safety Seminar and Fly-In showing the people, planes and events of this annual gathering of seaplane enthusiasts from all over New England and New York hosted by the Town of Arietta, Lake Pleasant, the Village of Speculator as well as the Adirondacks Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Albany NY FSDO (Safety Program Manager Alan Miller). For years, this event was located on the close by curved and sandy beaches of Camp Of The Woods as well as on the town beach in the middle of the beautiful and rustic Adirondack Mountains of Up State NY. See various floatplanes and flying boats taking off and landing as well as competing in contests on Lake Pleasant. With musical background, featured in this video are Cessna 172, 180, 185, 206, Piper J4, PA12, Seabee, Widgeon, Breive, Scout, Lake, Murphy Moose, Zenair and many more straight and amphibious floatplanes arriving and departing. Also are clips of pilots and participants along the beach, enjoying this two day event. The DVD comes in an attractive case with pictures from the video.
